I cannot see the window of the CMD or Powershell when I try to run it.. both of them show on the taskbar, but the window itself is invisible. You can click it to maximize or minimize, but you cannot see the window.

I tried searching the internet, but I couldn't seem to find a solution to it.

OS: Windows 11 Pro I had a 2nd monitor before I went to display settings and unchecked all regarding multiple monitors. Restarted a few times It's been a while since I tried using cmd, so I have no idea if OS update causes it. I already had 2 OS updates.

I searched the net, same as my title here.., and nothing the same shows up.. most of the results are CMD errors.. but mine doesn't show any kind of error messages.. it just won't show up even if it shows on the taskbar.

It is likely that the window opened outside of your monitor realestate.

If you hover the cmd window until you see the preview, right-click that window and select Move. If Move is grayed out, the window is maximized. Click the first item in that list and repeat. Move should now be available.

After clicking move, press an arrow key. The window is now snapped to your mouse cursor. Move the mouse to reposition the window on your main display. Click to place the window there.
