After a clean Windows 10 update on my HP EliteBook 8460p, when I try to open the Camera I get the error (it's possible the error was there before but I've used that camera and know that once it was working)
0xA00F4244
and in the error there's a button which links to this support article (I followed and didn't solve the problem - when it comes to the drivers I couldn't spot it in the list).
As you can see from this picture, the camera exists and is in the lapton
Note that all Windows updates are in place.
In this Windows Update screenshot under "Ver atualizações opcionais" (portuguese for "See optional updates") there was a specific list. I selected them all, installed and restarted the machine. So they're all installed but the problem remains.
I searched in Software and drivers for this HP EliteBook 8460p Base Model Notebook PC in Windows 10 OS but it gives
We were unable to find drivers for your product.
If in that link I change to Windows 7 (64-bit) OS then I get a whole list of drivers.
Found this interesting article from where extracted that
Normally, you might not find native Windows 10 drivers. If this is the case, use the latest Windows drivers available for your model. So if they only have Windows 7 drivers, try using those. Make sure you download the right drivers for your architecture (32 or 64 bit).
So from the drivers list available for Windows 7 I downloaded under "Driver-Keyboard, Mouse and Input Devices" the "HP Universal Camera Driver" and ran the .exe file. Then restarted the computer to see if that would be enough but it wasn't.

Started the PC in safe mode and the problem still happened in there. This means that the problem can be from default settings and basic device drivers.
