Node and mining in ARM device
I have an "almost always idle" ARM home server (not a rPi, more powerful) and I was thinking running a monero node in it, plus maybe have it mine if possible/profitable.
For the node part, is the monero code compatible with ARM devices? Has anyone…

Monero origins - optimized / crippled miner
I understand that soon after monero was created, some users discovered that it's possible to optimize the miner for multiple orders of magnitude.
This led to realization that it was probably the original mining software, inherited from bytecoin,…

Why is there only one GPU miner for NVIDIA cards?
I've just started mining (0.8 XMR so far, woo!) with some NVidia cards (4x GTX750ti), mainly due to the low power draw.
As far as I know, the only GPU miner for the cryptonight algorithm is ccminer-cryptonight. I know there are a couple of forks,…

Is anyone working on nVidia GPU mining software? How to improve it ourselves? Last release is from 2014.
I'm currently using ccminer-cryptonight, with the latest release from 2014. I'm mining with a GTX 1080, and I'm just barely getting a higher hashrate than people with a way slower nVidia GPU.
Also, there have been 3 major cuda releases since 2014.…

Wolf GPU miner using CPU?
I downloaded Wolfs OpenCL miner (github) and made a .bat file to start it. I noticed that it uses the CPU as well (and on the cmd output it says Capeverde 200h/s and then 50 h/s for 2 cpu cores total 300h/s). When using the miner the CPU usage gets…

Can cpuminer-multi be used for solo CPU mining?
It seems that Wolf's cpuminer-multi only allows to connect to a mining pool and can't be used for solo mining.
I've tried to use -o daemon+tcp://: to have it connect to monerod but it doesn't work.
Can cpuminer-multi be configured to mine solo?
