I have worked on a project focused on parallelizing AES-256 GCM mode using CUDA/OpenMP, achieving significant performance improvements. I would like to continue developing this project and explore its real-world applications.

Through my research, I found that AES-256 GCM is widely used in VPNs, secure communications, and network encryption (LAN, etc.). Given this, what potential applications or next steps do you think would be valuable for my project?

A much useful addition would be to examine in what setup there is a performance or/and power efficiency improvement compared to AES-GCM implemented using AES-NI (AESENC and friends) for AES and CLMUL (PCLMULQDQ and friend) for GCM. Performance for that (>12 years ago) is reported there.

A realistic application could be encryption of a fast network connection (100GbE, 40GbE, or even 10GbE for a start).
